Top Ten Mental Disorders

Caught this post over at listverse and was horrified and amused at what I saw.

Like a train hitting a bus, I knew there was serious and deadly business at hand.

Although tourette’s syndrome was not on the list, they did have quite a few nutty afflictions like the Capgras Delusion. Quoting from the page:

The Capgras delusion is a rare disorder in which a person holds a delusional belief that an acquaintance, usually a spouse or other close family member, has been replaced by an identical looking impostor.

It is most common in patients with schizophrenia, although it occur in those with dementia, or after a brain injury.

So- there you have it, loyal readers – some brain trauma to go with your ham and eggs. If you are anything like me, you have already begun diagnosing yourself with a fleet of feigned ailments.
